New York City in December

Today I had an appointment at the German Consulate to apply for a new passport. It took about an hour of taking a photograph, providing documents, signing forms and paying a fee. But then it was done finally. Now it's another 8 to 10 weeks wait before the new passport is ready. Plus I made today's appointment more than two months ago! So definitely not a thing to do last minute!

After that a short visit at Petra's office and then I took a little walk along 42nd Street and 5th Avenue before heading home again. Here are some impressions:

United Nations:

Petra's office is somewhere in this building...

Chrysler Building:

Empire State Building (in the back):

Times Square:

Bryant Park:

Winter Village -

- the closest thing to a Christmas Market I have seen so far in the US.

I have to do that more often - except the bureaucracy part ;-)
